Vitalia Lifestyle Sdn Bhd officially opened the doors to its second Roberto’s Osteria outlet in Tropicana Gardens Mall recently. This follows the success of the first Roberto’s flagship restaurant in Bangsar Shopping Centre, opened in 2020. This second restaurant aspires to bring high-end casual Tuscan dining experience to lovers of Italian cuisine in the Kota Damansara area.
Officiated by the Italian Ambassador, H.E. Massimo Rustico, Member of Parliament (MP) for Damansara, the Honourable Mr Gobind Singh Deo, and from Vitalia Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, Chief Executive Officer Mr Roberto Guiati and Director Dato’ Sri Mohammed Shaheen Shah, the launch was attended by a host of esteemed guests and friends.
Guiati said, “This grand opening marks another important milestone in Vitalia Lifestyle’s journey. With this exciting expansion of the Roberto’s Osteria concept, together with the already famous Zenzero fine dining restaurant and Luce Osteria, we have established authentic Italian restaurant brands right here in Malaysia with plans to expand across the region. It allows us to show that Malaysia is fully capable of being a developmental hub for the food and beverage industry, and that we can take our successful businesses to other cities around the globe.”
The food at Roberto’s is designed for sharing, making it an ideal place for a gathering of friends and family. The restaurant offers guests authentic Tuscan and Emilian dishes which are underrepresented here Malaysia. The menu at Roberto’s has been meticulously curated and was inspired by Guiati’s own family operating the group of restaurants and includes the personal touch of its former head chef, Paolo Cola.

In keeping with the Italian cooking ethos of treating the best ingredients with love, the restaurant sources many of its ingredients such as cold cuts, cheese, flour, varied vegetables, fish, veal, olive oil and wine from Italy to preserve authentic taste and flavours.
Guiati explained, “Pizzas will take center stage in our menu with a classic and gourmet range. Guests can witness how pizzas are prepared and cooked in the oven in the traditional way right in our dining area. The signature feature for all our Roberto’s outlets is the Alfa Forni wood and gas fired pizza oven brought in specially from Italy, a hallmark of Italian craftmanship, combining traditional know how and cutting-edge technology.”
“We also will be showcasing a variety of Tuscan and Emilian culinary staples such as handmade pastas, soups, cold cut platters, as well as contemporary dishes such as paninis and burgers,” he continued.
Patrons can enjoy Italians’ favourite starters such as Bruschetta, Burrata alla Caprese, as well as Taglieri e Formaggi (Cold Cuts and Cheese). Recommended main dishes include Tagliata di Manzo and Filetto di Manzo Tuscan style (Premium Ribeye steak and Tenderloin), Filetto di Barramundi (Barramundi Fillet), Seabass Cartoccio and many more.
While the restaurant carries wines from all regions, Roberto’s Osteria specialises in a unique selection of wines sourced from the lush and bountiful Tuscan countryside that are characterised by elegant yet powerful and structured style.
The spacious, prominently located restaurant features an indoor dining area and a lounge area as well as a bar where drinks and cocktails are served by a mixologist. It boasts a stylish modern interior which incorporates signature Tuscan elements.
