It has been somewhat of a tradition for RIUH to have bazaar events to celebrate Hari Raya, and this year was no exception. Held over 3 days from 29th to 31st March at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, CUCKOO X RIUH’s SamaSama Raya bazaar featured over 100 local creative brands and food and beverage vendors, in addition to the stellar lineup of musicians who performed live, most notably Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza and Jaclyn Victor.
A lot of the creative brands and food present at this iteration of RIUH were Raya-themed, featuring modern Raya clothing and accessories, as well as classic Raya favourite foods given a contemporary twist. Here are some pictures of the most interesting vendors spotted at RIUH.
Check out the mouthwatering assortment of delicious food present at RIUH’s Raya bazaar this year! You can always count on RIUH to feed its visitors well.
There was Laksa Johor, cekodok, dumplings, char keoy teow, pan mee, bakso, Nasi Minyak Johor and Nasi Telur Terengganu, just to name a few. From the most beloved favourites one can find all over Malaysia, to more niche delicacies originating from other states, the SamaSama Raya bazaar has them all! Some of these vendors have restaurants or food trucks of their own, so check them out if you missed them at RIUH.
It also would not be Raya without some Raya fashion. Once again, SamaSama Raya bazaar delivers, boasting row upon row of stalls selling beautiful outfits to ensure that visitors can look their most fabulous for this holiday season. Have a look at these pictures, making up just a fraction of all that was available at the bazaar.
The vibrant colours filled the venue, lending the bazaar an exuberant and colourful energy. Browsing the wares while serenaded by talented local singers really puts one in a festive mood. Here’s hoping that all the RIUH events to come this year will be just as, if not even more vibrant and exciting.
