O Sculpture Studio, in partnership with Arteesan.io, is thrilled to announce the launch of
LOKGAM, a breathtaking exhibition by master sculptor Raja Shahriman, which will run from 6th May to 4th June 2023, with support from Penang Art District. LOKGAM is the first installment in
a series of five exhibitions, each exploring one of the five elemental elements: Metal, Wood,
Water, Fire, and Earth.

This innovative collection features Raja's intricate and stunning metal sculptures, inspired by the
traditional keris, a type of dagger native to Southeast Asia. Through his skilled craftsmanship
and cutting-edge techniques, Raja has created a series of sculptures called LOK, each paying
homage to the rich cultural heritage of the region while pushing the boundaries of metalworking.

LOKGAM showcases an array of sculptures, united by their exploration of the human torso
combined with the essence of keris. Raja's works celebrate the beauty and complexity of the
human form while also delving into broader themes such as gender, identity, society, and the
natural world. Each unique sculpture offers a distinctive character that captures Raja's artistic
vision.
