In January 2017, Sabahans Alton Wong, Icco Elnoel, Adriel Wong and Annabel Tiu made their debut performance as Kangkung Belacan at the 4th Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival at KLPAC. Regarded as one of the nation’s youngest Jazz act, they have been performing steadily at venues such as in No Black Tie and Bobo KL in conjunction with International Jazz Day, the KK Jazz Festival, and a fusion jazz concert in Universiti Sains Malaysia.

To generate more buzz and attract more visitors, Royal Selangor Visitor Center has organized few weekend events with invited artists such as Cher Siang, Junji Delfino and Winnie Ho to name a few. For the next instalment, they have invited Kangkung Belacan to perform during Labour Day this year. Spend the afternoon at the cafe to hear jazz compositions from the swing era all the way to modern compositions performed by the four piece band.

The jazz afternoon will happen at The Café @ Royal Selangor Visitor Center, 4, Jalan Usahawan 6, Setapak Jaya, 53300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. The event starts at 3PM with ticket priced at RM70 per person while children below 12. The ticket price come inclusive of one choice of drinks either coffee or tea.
