This October, Tapestry, a home-grown vocal group, will be presenting its latest music production, Time After Time, which will be playing from 6th till 8th October 2023 at the KuAsh Theatre in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Kuala Lumpur.

Time After Time showcases different genres of music from the 1950s till present day, exploring how the songs of each decade describe the reality of the day while transcending time and generations to leave a lasting impression for those who come after them. Performed by an 8-member cast, and supported by a beatboxer and four-piece live band, the show features songs from the silver screen, television series, musicals, and various artistes including BTS, Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift, The Carpenters, and Whitney Houston, amongst others.

This year, Tapestry will be supporting Project R.ED (Reimagine Education), a new NGO that provides educational training for refugee children through academic classes, leadership training, and educational field trips, among other things. Tapestry will be donating a percentage of ticket sales to the organisation.

Since its formation in 2012, Tapestry has produced nine shows; Christmas Tapestry (2012), Stereo & Popcorn (2013), Human After All (2014), The Living Room Sessions (2015), About Aisya (2016), A Cap-pel-la la la la la la (2016), Tape5try (2017), The Living Room Sessions: Sofa So Good (2018), and Anthology (2022). Tapestry’s wide repertoire of songs from various musical genres has also seen the group being invited to perform at various corporate and private events including the KL International Arbitration Week Gala Dinner, World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine Countdown, The Star Outstanding Business Awards, Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival, Malaysian Orthopaedic Association’s Golden Jubilee Celebration Dinner, and HSBC’s Corporate Banking events.

Time After Time will be performed at 8:30 p.m. on 6th and 7th October, with matinee shows on 7th and 8th October at 3:00 p.m. Tickets for Time After Time are priced at RM119 and RM109, with concession tickets for children 4-12 years of age and students with valid IDs priced at RM99 and RM89.
