Description

Aiman Zamri’s Chamber is the first solo exhibition by the artist, presenting a sequence of unsettling and disturbing imageries descended from subconscious thought and pop culture references. Chamber consists of paintings, drawings and mixed media consolidated as his initial appearance on the Malaysian art scene draws upon his interest in surrealism and horror flicks. Departing from more realistic features, Aiman creates a pantheon of disfigured subjects that fragment the element of the subconscious in strange yet explosive, chaotic brushstrokes.
